Help with CINAHL Searches via the EBSCOhost User Guide
The CINAHL (Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature) database is now available to search from the EBSCO (all databases) link on the CHN Medical Library homepage.

Searching Nursing Books on OVID
A set of nursing books is now available electronically on OVID. To see the list, click on OVID (MEDLINE & Nursing Books) from the library home page. Choose Books @ OVID. From this page, you can search within all the books of the collection, or within a single book. Notice the "Limit to Book" option that allows this. To see all the titles available in this collection, at the top of the page just under the Wolters Kluwer logo, click on the link to Books.
PubMed Tutorials
PubMed accesses the National Library of Medicine's MEDLINE, a database of citations and abstracts from the medical literature. It is NOT a full-text database, although there are some links to full-text articles. For full-text access to journals, see the Journals link on the left-hand side of our home page, or contact the staff at the Medical Library, chnmedlibrary@carondelet.org.

OVID Tutorials
Like PubMed, OVID searches the medical literature contained in MEDLINE. Some links to full-text are provided; for other articles, use the Journals link on the library home page or contact the Medical Library staff at chnmedlibrary@carondelet.org.

STAT!Ref Tutorials
StatRef! is a collection of online medical textbooks and reference works. You may search the entire collection, or search within the collection using the Advanced Search feature.

MedCalc 3000 can be accessed directly from the library home page, or from the StatRef! "Resources" tab. MedCalc 3000 is a computerized medical reference and tool set. It contains a unit & dosage converter, a match calculator, and medical equations, and other useful tools.

Cochrane Tutorials
The Cochrane EBM Databases contain high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. Contains Cochrane Reviews and other sources of reliable information, from other systematic review abstracts, technology assessments, economic evaluations and individual clinical trials.
